Rolf does say he intends to use an oil filter. If he has a 58-63 261 which has 1/2" NPT threaded holes for a full-flow oil filtration system, the Tech Tech will be of little or no use.
The Tech Tip is about by-pass oil filtration assemblies. The original 58-63 261 truck full-flow filter assembly is significantly different AND the direction of oil flow is different (the direction/orientation of oil flow in and out of the block).
