What rings are you using? I don't know of any multiple piece compression rings in the second groove. Don't take that too seriously it just means I have not seen them. Lots of things I have never seen. Just curious. To me it sounds like 2 sets of oil control rings and only 1 compression ring in the top groove. Like I said I can be wrong and have been many times.
