these two holes were the distributor mount I am guessing but how do I plug them as they run into the valve chamber?
The two Holes are for your Coil Bracket to mount.
They have nothing to do with the Distributor.
The top crimp is correct, do not mess with it.
The Tube feeds the Rocker Shafts from where it is brazed to the Shell there, and it feeds Oil to the Shafts from it's side, not it's ( crimped ) end.
