The Clark's claim to fame was that if you got stuck, you had a chance of rocking yourself out of the mud by going back and forth from 1 and R in time with the rocking motion.
Boy does that bring back memories. My truck was a 16 Ft Flatbed Dump and when empty it sure was a little light back there.
