1960 GMC: I've read about this "swap" and Forums say you can do it, "divorced 205", "married 205", "try this", "I think that"....No one has explained it and I can't find pics. It is confusing. I always like to study someones method before I do it. I would do a married set, probably 465/205. First I would like to know from someone who has done it, does the 205 reach out to obtain a straight or near straight driveshaft to front axle? I know the 205 can be clocked, I know I will have to provide the proper Ujoint/CV ends and figure a mounting scheme for 205. I hope someone can tell me on a 60-66/205 install, if the front shaft is inline. I also believe that the rear output of the 205 is centered the same as the T221. Can someone also verify that is true. I don't see any other problem I could not solve somehow, once I get a 205 and scope it all out. But don't want to start or buy without knowledge from members here. Maybe someone here has actually done it. Possibly ron.
