I am replacing my old 235 splash system with a newer 1955-62 235 full pressure system engine. My bell housing has side mounts motor mounts with the three holes for the brake and clutch pedal. Bell housings 1948-53 will take the SM420 trans without the adapter but do not have the three holes to mount the pedals. I know I can get a modified bell housing with three holes welded to the side but I was hoping to see if there was another way someone has tried.
