Yes, the 216/235 splash-oiler engines and the early full-pressure engines run a Federal Mogul 1094-M cam bearing set with the small-diameter cam bearing journals. Late 54 and up 235/261 engines have bigger cam bearings, F-M cam bearing set #1170M or equivalent. (From my Federal-Mogul master bearing specification catalog)

You're likely to have problems finding a new small-journal cam, and boring the block for the bigger cam bearings can be difficult and expensive.
