Thanks for all the information Jerry I am sure I'll have a lot more questions. I pulled the truck apart 25 years ago and now would like to get it back together already have a gear and thrust plate ordered. I think I'll take your advice and have the machine shop install it for me. I think I will keep the other cam for now if I screw up this one I have a 1955 235 that I can use and if that don't work I have 2 216's that run. Hopefully I don't have that much trouble but I do plan on getting this truck back together.
