Is it my imagination, or is the 4 speed tranny from a 1947 Advanced Design GMC just a little different in dimensions than all other years? I pulled one off a '47 and when I went to install it on a 1950 Chevy, it is shorter and the mounting face to the bell housing is different. Now I'm wondering if my 1950 has some odd-ball housing.
