I have a question about my pinion oil seal. First off I changed it 8 years ago and it started to leak again, so I pull it apart and found two things: #1 I think I put the oil seal in backwards because I'm pretty sure the lip goes towards the oil. #2 I have a small groove on the drive shaft yoke. So here is my question, should I put it back to gather with new felt seal and oil seal with oil seal facing the right way or should I leave the felt seal out moving the oil seal off of the groove in the yoke shaft. I really cant see a reason for the felt seal with todays oil seals. Thanks in advance guys!
