Stove, shifting to the non-syncro first is only done at a dead stop, although you may be able to 'double clutch' it down at very slow speed, there is no need and really, it's abusing the box - the double clutching might be useful 2nd to 3rd .... you can give it full throttle anytime, but I don't think you'd want to hold it there indefinitely
