I am pulling the 6 cyl. out of a '62 C-10 and will install a v8 using a Hitachi block mounted mini starter. Problem: the original starter had 3 leads; one for the battery cable, and two leads on the solenoid, one of which had a purple wire and the other lead had a white and red (?) wire. Problem: the mini starter only has two leads; one for the battery cable and one on the solenoid. How do I hook the mini starter up, since I guess I am not going to use one of the original leads ?
