There is no way I'm aware of to make the stomp starter work on a V8. The 216/235/261 6 cylinder bellhousing is totally different from the V8. The 2nd-generation sixes, 194/230/250/292 and the 151 4-cylinder have the same bellhousing bolt pattern as the V8's, but by the mid-1960's they had stopped using the stomp starter on anything.
