A note of encouragement: Keep after this idea please. Even if it is not as good as the original at damping, and that is a very big if. It will be better than any loose, damaged, rusty and oil soaked unit you can find any where. Warning! Opinion coming: Original was used to damp vibration at some range of RPM. This one might be at a slightly different range but I would bet at least 1 cold beer that the range overlaps. V8 shakes harder than an I 6. Could be just the ticket to ket that like new feeling.
