Yep, you found it- - - -about 4" in diameter and nearly a foot long! The O ring gasket above the canister has a nasty habit of sticking in the groove, so if you decide to use the original filter element, take an ice pick and pry the old gasket out. I've found two, and sometimes 3 canister gaskets stacked on top of each other on some oil changes back in the dark ages!
