Bread -- Bring something comfy to sleep on and I will provide more space than a shelter half. I've used a shelter half plenty of times, even after those times you speak of (when we were "professional campers ..."). In fact, I used mine at Winchester last year. It was great (it didn't storm). How did we ever sleep two men and all our deuce gear in one of those tents??
