Minor correction: those hole were not there on 235s after around 1954, when the horn-location changed (the style of horn changed in 1953).
Earlier (1941-1953) 235 engines/manifolds had the intakes with "horn holes".
"What you do with an intake manifold that does not have the buss/hole for the horn?" Good question. It will be interesting to see the suggestions.
