Over the years I have assembled a number of gasket sets, and I thought I had all I needed. Regarding the gasket that goes between the intake and outtake manifold (from the heat riser) it seems I have three new gaskets that fit a 216 but not the 235. The problem is the narrower bolts on the block side. Since it is a bit of a hassle and several weeks of wait to send the proper gasket to Sweden, why can't I just lop off those two misplaced bolt holes and use my existing gasket. The other two holes will keep the gasket aligned until the bolts are tight, then the gasket shouldn't go anywhere, eh?
