My 68 chevy...230-250 6 cylindar engine.....
I was getting the red light on the temp guage...so I check my water level...it was low...i filled it and used antifreeze mix-50/50.
Next day...low again...so i get to looking around in the engine.....no leaks while running and no leaks while its still at running temperature...
I park the truck......engine cools....I then see a leak...coming out of the water pump bottom....so i knew it had to be that....
Today I bought a water pump......installed it.....came out fine...no leaks whatsoever....then my temperature light came on again....
I check the water level...it isnt low....
The engine doesnt steam...or anything like that...just has the idiot light on when the water aint low...and the water pump is working fine...
You guys got any ideas?
