Before you worry to much look very carefuly around the bottom corners. The frames tend to rust and expand both inside and outside. It will crack at the thin edge. Also I was unable to get the internal v bar in the middle out because of rust. You will likely have to replace. My point just break or drill the screws. Plan on replacing the v bar that holds the two halfs together. I think you will find there is plenty of repair to do.
