The 14 gauge wire supplies the ignition key, which in turn supplies the coil and the gas gauge. This is an interesting point of the design because it is unprotected. The 10 gauge wire branches to supply the headlight switch and the battery terminal on the regulator.
On the other side of the amp meter there is only one connection and that comes from the battery junction feed on the starter.
