Just a thought...I added isolated LED turn signals to the rear of my 54 truck...went with a new 3 prong electronic flasher. Added a conventional 12v bed roll light tied into the turn signal circuit. Am using an add-on turn signal column mounted unit.
Couldn't get the little indicator lights in the column unit to flash, so I tied in a couple little buzzers. Today I hooked up a non-electronic flasher....same position of wires on the flasher and the indicator lights work!!!
I can't explain why it works, but it sure is great having everything working as advertised.
Might be worth a try if you're having problems getting your add-on turn signal unit to work properly. Hope this might help.
