Two schools of thought on this. Fairly even to. Opinion to follow.
If you are one that worry's, do what 51 1 ton suggested. Pull it apart and quit the worry.
If you are OK with a less that perfect universe, well then fire it up and get on with it.
I don't think the risk to an EX valve is very high. But I have been wrong many times. Still, I would choose option #2..:)
