I think you asked a question about the fuel pump fittings. Where the fitting threads into the pump body it is a pipe thread. The male part is tapered. So they should be turned in until they present some resistance. You don't want to really tighten them all the way. If they leak, try another turn or so. The lines attach to the fitting with a flare. Those should be done up good and tight.
