I just finished bolting on my glove box door.
I installed the lock as I remember it however the door won't catch and stay closed. Is there some kind of adjustment here?

It doesn't look much different then the 46 set up. If your door is aligned correctly I would tweek the catch on the door. I did on mine and it worked. BTW the truck is looking great!

Jim, AFAIK the only 'adjustment' apart from the screws that secure the glove box door to the hinges is the metal catch on the actual door.
I assume the door is square and lined up OK.

I tweaked mine like Gman said with a pair of pliers and a cloth to avoid chipping the paint too much.
The nature of the catch will wear the paint on the latch over time anyway.
You want it to catch with enough pre-load on the rubber bumpers to avoid rattles.

If you can have someone close the door while you look up from underneath since your box is out. I did that and could see I needed to adjust the catch a bit and I also rotated the lock just a tiny bit.

OK here are two pics from the back as Brad suggested. In both pics the door is completely shut but the tab just barely touches the hook. Do I have the wrong lock set? It came from Classic Parts (Chevy Duty), #53-470.

Your lock is correct.
Here's a couple of snaps I took this morning.
It looks like you need to tweak the glove box tab as mentioned earlier in the thread.
You can see mine took a fair bit of persuasion to fit.
(I know,I know..I also still need to finish the underside of the dash!)
Out of sight/out of mind eh!

Looks like there's going to be a whole lot of tweaking going on. I'm just (as always) afraid of too much tweaking resulting in a broken tab. ...must be a result of past excessive tweaking. lol

Finally got the Glove Box lock to hold the door. I had bought two locks from two different vendors hoping one would work, neither worked. I searched around and found the original lock. Then I measured the hook on the lock and compared it with the hooks on the new locks and discovered the new lock hooks were.04" shorter than the original. I put it on and the door shut and held. So much for Chinese junk.
