http://s977.photobucket.com/albums/ae255/wouldsman_photos/bus/?albumview=slideshow

I stumbled upon this bus on my way to look at a logging job up by MT Hood, in Oregon. It was sitting in the woods behind an old cabin, Tires all flat, barely visible through the brush and poison oak, obviously had been there awhile..
After further investigation I located the property owner and less then an hour later, traded 4-cord of red fir, and a 1969 honda trail 90 for the bus. Too Cool...
The guy didnt know much about the history of the bus, or the year model even, all he could tell me is it was on the property when he bought it 20yrs ago and was added to the deed by the previous land owner, who died a couple years later. Long story, short, and a year later, I finally recieved a title for the bus and this is what ive learned or think I know about this thing..
It's a 1950 GM 21' Coach, Model# TGH 2708. There were only 302 of this model ever built between 1949-1951. 1st year of the air ride suspension, Auto trans & Factory gas motor, although I'm not sure what size, mine has a 400 pontiac in it, but I doubt it's the factory engine, any idea's? Bus has been partially converted, windows, propane, all alum holding & fresh water tanks, some plumbing, Entire int., has been foam insulated, the orig., roof panels re-installed afterwards, wood cabinets and closets, sitting booth, etc., Best of all, this "Mutha" runs!!
After sitting in the same spot for 20yrs and according to the property owner, started once or twice, maybe, my buddy and I installed a battery, starter, aired up the tires, tied a 5-gal can of gas to the roof, ran a fuel line to the carb and fired her up. It blew acorns, rocks, mice and smoke out of what was left of the exhaust pipe, but cleared up and smoothed right out. The trans linkage was froze up so my buddy put it gear from the engine compartment, jumped back in the bus and away we went. 5-miles down the gravel road cruising at 40 to 50 mph, my buddy jumps out and puts it in reverse, then back in drive to where it sits now. Way too cool!!
These pics were taken the day of the drive, same cond., it was in when I 1st saw it and the same cond ., it is now, only this time it's sitting in front of the old cabin...

Don't know much about your bus but GMC's did run Pontiac engines. No 400 in that year though but that motor should make it a pretty strong runner. (For tech info on Pontiac engines go to the Performance Years forum. http://forums.performanceyears.com/forums/ ) It would be a nice project to restore. You'd certainly be the only one at the car show! Give us updates if you work on it or sell it.

I would be murdered in my sleep by the other half if I ever brought something like that home!
But it is so cool, can I get one and keep it at your house? Haaa! Haaa!
Very cool!
