I have a 59 apache and want to go dual for the 235. Want stainless and can't seem to find anyone with a kit for my year and my local shops don't bend stainless. Tried Waldrons and they can't make a dual only single. Patrick's has a nice stainless muffler I can use if I can find the pipe. Any thoughts on we're to head?

If you want to match up to Patrick's stainless muffler (his dual-in/dual out for earlier 3100s?), you will have to find a source that will make pipes that match your truck and that muffler. If someone posts a "source" here, would you send that muffler to that source?

Sorry if I wasn't clear. If I use Fenton headers on hand and grab that stainless muffler from patricks with 2in/out then I will need is someone who bends stainless to fab the pipe for my 59 short box apache. Called Patrick's and they said though they didn't have a kit for my 59 that the muffler would work if I could find someone to make the pipe. so I'm looking for a shop that can fab the pipe setup in house and send it to me. I can install it and tig weld together here.

My two cents. . .

I have their complete galvanized system from the exhaust manifold back (including muffler) on my 1956 3600. They ran about a month to bend it up and get it to me which I thought was not quick but reasonable considering they are fabbed and bent to order. It fit alright. I had to trim the rear section by about 2" to have it clear my rear axle hump appropriately. The price was also right. If I remember correctly it was around $350 to my door. The only thing that I was not happy about was their customer service. They were great on the phone when placing my order but then they almost disappeared. They don't answer the phone often, don't respond to emails and don't send any updates about shipping or production. I got the exhaust system and it all worked out but it was a bit frustrating to fork over my money and then not hear anything for a month while I hoped I didn't get scammed.

Hmmm. I looked them up a bit after your comment and they do indeed have a big pile of ugly when it comes to review from those that bought from them in the past. Bad enough I won't be buying. Thank you for the heads up and I guess I'm still looking to find a stainless set elsewhere so if anyone has anything else to offer please feel free to let me know. Thanks.

Stainless Headers in Moorehead, Minnesota does custom stainless work. They send you a kit to bend up to fit which you send back and they copy it in regular or stainless. IIRC they are the ones that did a stainless set for us for a 57 Golden Hawk.

I see your location is "west". Not sure where that is, but most populous centers of any size, has a custom fab shop. Although they may not specialize in exhaust, they may be able to bend & TIG your stainless exhaust system. Mandrel bends, of various shapes & diameters, are available from JEGS, Summit, Speedway & the likes. With these parts, the system can be mocked up and then TIG welded by an accomplished sheet metal man.
