Need a new cork gasket for your Durex 986128 or Durex 986640 gasoline filter?

I have stored full size .pdf patterns of the gaskets on Google Drive. Download or print them out directly from the site.

PRINT THEM OUT AT FULL SIZE. No scaling. No "Fit" or "Shrink." There is a three-inch scale on each pattern to measure and confirm that it is printed at the original scale.

Instructions are on each sheet.

GM instructed Cadillac servicemen to replace the gasket whenever the filter is serviced.

They shrivel up like a corn flake when they dry out and will not return to shape when wetted again. I carry an extra one in the glovebox.

Thanks to "801curt" on Stovebolt and to "chef-chevy" on VCCA Chat for measuring and testing the 986128 gasket.

I created the 986640 gasket using my 986640 filter. My 986640 gasket is 1/64 larger than the MPC description. Fits well.

Let me know if you have problems with the files or if the gasket does not fit.

Well crap.

I moved the files to a new folder in Google Drive, but I also revised my post to reflect the new location/filename.

Close Stovebolt and reopen, then try again. Maybe the old location was stored in the 'Bolt memory (???)

I also see that Google does not like Internet Explorer 11. Don't know if that is causing the problem. I have ie-11 on my computers, but I can still download the files.

Perhaps someone else can see if the files open for them. Then maybe we can figure out the problem.

For me Firefox opened both patterns, IE would not.

Looks like it's a Google-vs-Microsoft thing. I signed out of Google Drive, then tried to view/download the files. Just like you, my computer went into permanent limbo. It loads OK on my iPhone.

Those Google Drive files also download OK in Mac OS X Safari

I was having trouble opening it in IE however when I signed into Google it opened right up. Google is my default search engine in Internet Explorer.
