I have a COE 270 GMC with an up-draft zenith carburator. I need help setting/adjusting it? I can not get any gas through the carb. I can get starting fluid through the air intake, but nothing through the carb.

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

Sounds like you may want to get a carb kit, take your carb apart and soak it in carb cleaner. After soaking it rinse it with hot water and blow all the passages and blow it dry. You may want to get a shop manual to help you making all the settings.

Is the fuel pump getting gas to the carb?

Yes, but have not tried to measure how much pressure?

If the vacuum brake booster is faulty (leaks) would that void the vacuum (sucking) ability of the intake manifold, thus no gas??

I am needing a bendix hydrovac brake booster for a 1949 chev 2-ton truck, or a rebuild kit for the faulty one. Does anyone have any idea(s) as to a supplier, where to find parts to rebuild, or a remanufactor(rebuilder) etc.
