This is the latest truck I'm working on. My Dad purchased this truck new from City Chevrolet, Great Falls, MT in 1966. In March 1978 it was sold and in 1985 sold again. I re-purchased it in November 2013. It has spent it's whole life in Chouteau County, Montana and is now at a new home in Yellowstone County.
This truck holds a special place in my heart as well as my brother's. We both have a lot of memories tied up in this truck. We both hauled quite a few bushels of grain in this rig in our younger years. My brother took it all the way back to Indiana in the early 70's to pick up farm equipment.
It still runs strong with less than 80,0000 miles on the old 327. I'm taking care of a few TLC items this winter and hopefully next winter I can do some cosmetic work to it. There are a few parts needed and some that are difficult to find (LCF), but for the most part the 'preservation' is going well. I have found dirt and grease that I know was put on when Dad had it. There are also signs of repairs that I know my Dad made to it. He has been gone since 1996 but he would be happy knowing we have the truck.
photosI still have my 47 2T, 67 K20, and 52 2T Chevys to work on as well.
