I just found this site last night. I recently bought a 1965 C-20 It has a 230 or 250 motor. I would like to have a 292 like Dads truck. Who can built me a 292 beefed up a bit and would take my 250 core? Also is LMC truck parts a good place to buy parts? Prices seem to be reasonable. Thanks

There is a guy here in WI that can build you a nice engine but you will need to supply the 292 core, he is just north of Milwaukee, pm me for details

I have a '65 C20 with the 292. Great truck. LMC is good. I prefer to use original as much as possible even though it often takes longer to find the part. I have bought original parts from Tony Smith and RJ here on the forum. I also found a guy in Pella, Iowa. He had some great original parts and was very helpful. You can pm me for details if you want. Good luck.
