It's going to take some force to get the ball ends into the link. They go about halfway and then hang up. Make sure that you have all the right parts in the right order as shown in shop manual. I had one of the stemmed plugs that was longer than it should be and it would not let the spring compress to go over the ball. Once I got the right length plug in place it snapped on pretty eassily | | |
