| | | | Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 127 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 127 | My 57 6400 has Air over Hydraulic brakes. I redid the wheel cylinders, two on each side on the back and one on each side on the front.
I'm trying to bleed the air out of the lines and cylinder but not being to successful. Is there a trick to this?
I'm doing it the same way I would do a full hydraulic system. By having someone press the brake pedal and then bleeding one cylinder at a time.

| | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 | Hy rautru, I just checked my 57 maintenance manual, the only difference mentioned with the "Air-Pak" is to bleed the "Air- Pak"number one (highest) bleed screw first and then number two (on the output tube) bleed screw, then bleed the remaining wheel cylinders as you normally would, hope that helps | | | | | Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 127 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 127 | Had them power bled, turns out the master cylinder is shot.

I fought with this also until I retracted my rear shoes all the way so there was very little space left in the rear cylinders then used my power bleeder to get the last of the air out. This made a HUGE difference.
