I'd keep the manual gear if I can find one.I'm only considering ps conversion due to lack of availability of the original part. I have had two of mine rebuilt by a local steering rebuild shop and you can buy them all day long on eBay.
I an sure Tony at 4-5-6Chevy Trucks sells the Power Steering Conversion Kit or can point you in the right direction.

I was able to get all of these for my 62 k20 from rockauto, truck and car shop, etc. Rebuild was not too difficult. Used the shop manual, and there is lots on the Internet about it. Something to consider if you have no other choice and the internals of your box are not too bad. I was happy with the results. Spares and cores ate scarce. And maybe a supplier. I'd like to have a list so I can look for availability before I pull the box out. Thanks, Greg

They do look scarce now but try item: 200998517189.
I think going through yours might be less expensive though...

Contact Classic Parts of America. They have a fellow, in-house, that will rebuild your original 4x4 steering gear box.
