Does anyone have a good idea of how prevent the parking light cover sheet metal edge from resting on the head light bucket. There is a gasket but it would have to stick out from under the cover to work and that will look bad.

the factory treatment might not look as bad as you imagine, certainly the gasket edge wouldn't look as bad as paint chips you could always coat the bottom edges of the park housing with some liquid rubber, but if you don't do something to seal it up there, water will be getting in the headlight pots

What about a small vacuum line or windshield washer hose, slice it down the length of it on one side. and slip that opening on the bottom edge of the housing all the way around it, that might just work.
I might even try that myself when the time comes to put mine together.

Thank you both for the ideas. I am thinking I might try spacing the cover off the bucket with spacers over the two attachment screws. Just a few thousands. Iam guessing factory was just metal on paint. Had I thought about this before painting I think I would have added some tabs on the inside edge for a gasket to rest on.
