Looking into changing from the original single to the dual master cylinder but do not know what is involved. Is the back plumbing the same and I need new for the front?

How do I make this change?

Thanks

You'll need a mounting plate. Click here for example. I used a master from a '66 full sized Chev car (Not sure about the year but it was the first year GM used double master cylinders.)I ran the front line as original to the T block on the right side of the frame and plugged where the rear line used to go. I ran the rear line along the left side of the frame, across the rear end to the rear T block. This is for drum-drum, non-power, 1947 1/2 ton. I had to make some new brake lines.

It's a small world, but I wouldn't want to paint it.

Thank you.

So. I assume the master cylinder is cheaper at a parts house and the new line parallels the existing line ( both T blocks are plugged in one direction) and new lines forward.

Thanks,

I do plan to stay drum-drum with no power assist.

You only need to plug the T block on the right rail (near the middle of the truck.) There is a T up front near the front wheel where the front splits to the left and right sides but that doesn't change. Cletis has a tech tip that provides a lot of info. My set up is different from his but the main ideas are the same.
