well I think we'll be heading down to ft worth area Monday and my hopes are to pick up some patch panels and misc. stuff while in the area. my Dad had a 61 chev. 3/4 when I was in my teens but for the life of me I can't remember if it had an inside mirror on the windshield. this 61 GMC I brought back from New Mexico doesn't and I'm wondering if I need to get one to satisfy the state inspection law. for sure I need to replace the broken west coast style outside set that is on it now and can't decide yet whether to go back to the small round OEM type or find another pair of the bigger ones like it has now. no doubt they are more user friendly.any thoughts or tips on best place down around the Keller area to get a pair ? I know I can order a seet of original types for somewhere around 50 to 60 bucks. Raymond

To be legal in Texas you have to have at least one mirror. It does not matter which one, driver-outer, interior-center or passenger-outer. . . but at least one.

well mine has the 3 screws for the old style mirror mount on the drivers door but either they did mot furnish one for the passenger door or someone in the last 52 years filled them in and painted over them. did the 61's originally have only a left side exterior mirror?
