Hi all,
I asked this over on Inliners too, no firm answers yet.

I'm doing a comparison of all the Inline Six engines I can find and weight of course matters.

For the 235-261 I have about 560 lb.
I weighed a 194 once at just over 400 lb, and a 292 at about 460 lb.

Guessing the GMC is heavier than any of those but really no idea.

Also of course looking for dyno test data on the GMC, I only know of ONE test so its pretty sparse.

Info Appreciated!

Thanks Wayne thats it!
Wow those are heavy
So Im thinking to use for say the 270
760lb
-100 flywheel & housing
+40 carb & starter
700lb approx for the engine itself
Compared to about 560 for the stovebolt
And about 410-460 for the 194-230-250-292 six.
Wow

I have a 270 in my '38. I didn't know what it weighed.

No wonder the steering is hard! :-)

What are you putting it in?
