I am pulling my engine to rebuild and will more than likely be going thru the trans as well. Anybody know of a source for parts? I have found some of the parts stores have gasket kits, but nothing else.

If that's the 4 speed in 31-47s, they are pretty solid unless badly abused. If water got in and sat there could be rust issues. If you don't like the look or feel of the bearings and seals in yours, I found them for mine as stock items at my local suppliers of bearings. It wasn't hard to find, more choosing price vs comfort with origin/brand of bearing. You can take in either the numbers of the old bearings or the bearings themselves for measurement. The gaskets for top and PTO covers don't need to be a very specific thickness, just close to the original. Cut your own if you want.

It is the 4 speed and I have been driving it this year. Nothing wrong with it other than it leaks. I did pull the top off and a few of the gears are chewed up a little bit, but not bad. Certainly no missing teeth.

Will probably check out the bearings and put new seals in if nothing is to worn out.

I found all the bearings locally. Only one of them I needed to replace, one other one was questionable. I had to order all of them in, but they will be here Monday. I'll post up some part numbers when I'm sure they are correct!
