Has any one ever swaped an newer style frame under a older truck 48 or 49 3800? I just bought a 1994 1 ton
dually Frame last Night And was going to put My 1949 1ton On it . Need help please

I would start off by measuring the track to see how different it will be. I think that kind of transplant is done quite frequently, though not necessarily that specific year of a more modern truck. If you go through the gallery for the AD years, you should see some there.

well I got busey this weekend and ended up puting the back half of the 94 frame to my 49 frame so far looks good . But there was no way the front frame was goting to fit. If I knew how to post pic i would . thanks for the replys.

I did a similar swap. You can see my photos through the link on my signature page. It is not an easy task to swap frames.
