I want to put a tilt wheel in my '53 1/2 ton. I could go with one of the aftermarket columns, but would prefer a Chevy column with ignition switch and wheel lock. Has anyone found anything that swaps in easily?

nothing is easy. you can use a mid 80's gm column . you will have to cut the shaft comming out of the steering box and put in a u joint. and fab a column mount at the dash

And don't forget the shifter. It will need to be addressed as well.
