Wow, it was amazing. Some of the footage they have acquired ... well, it's all real. No Hollywood twists in here.
At first I thought it was a drama but it's a documentary.
Well worth the watch. Have to wait for John to see any more. I know he'll appreciate it. Makes you appreciate even more what our veterans have done for us.

Especially on those days, *I* feel overwhelmed. Puts things in a perspective I need to remember.

He was a student when his uncle was assembling a field hospital unit at Ft Lewis. Uncle was a General ( I think ) in the medical corps attached to the 4th Inf Div. Our photographer's family pulled some political strings and got him assigned to his uncle.
He then had all his camera gear and expensive color film shipped with hospital supplies.
He filmed all the way from Utah beach to Berlin.
He didn't process the film until the 1950s and the family kept it secret until the uncle died in the 1980s.
The local paper said there was almost 600 minutes of film.
Who knows what else is out there in boxes and suitcases stuffed away in attics and basements.
