Just a quick question, what is the original Radio hole size in a 1950 AD 3100 as my dash has been butchered to fit a modern radio. I would hate to have painted the cab and to fit the radio(when I can afford it) and I've made the hole the wrong size. Your best bet is to find a donor at a junk yard and cut out the section that you need and cut out your mess and weld in the new piece. I have done this twice and it wasn't too difficult.
I just now noticed that you are in England (you don't type funny like y'all talk, LOL). I am guessing that you don't have a lot of donors there. You might post in the parts wanted section.

Best to get a patch panel as suggested above. I placed an ad inthe parts wanted section and got one and it was not very expensive I have a few measurements in this folder ...link... The last few photos might help The hole is not round it appears a bit oval.
