I need a shift arm that goes on the side of my 1953 sm318 transmission, the one that your linkage hooks up to at the tranny. Can some one tell me how far up they used those type of arms. Thanks.

They used that configuration through 55 2nd series w/235 engines. I have a collection of the shift arms. I could send you one for the cost of postage.

Just saw a set of these on ebay, don't have number, you'll have to search. Good luck

Problem solved. My brother had one. I did a little work on it and now i think all is well again. Seems like i take one step forward and 2 back. Should be able to take it down the street and back for a test in a couple days. Been a long 2 yrs.
