I've read over most all the threads on changing rims/tires out, but is there anyone that knows of a way of adapting one of the WIDE semi radials on our rear axles, doing away with the dual tires? (like one on left)

ARE these adapters?

I'd LOVE to have some and some reg width alloy ones up front to match..

Thanks Errol

Those are adapters yes, but the inside pattern I'd guess is 8 lug on 6.5" as found on 3/4 and 1 tons. So if that's what you have it could work, although that large and heavy of a tire will make your 3/4 or 1 ton brakes feel very weak.

If you know what bolt pattern you have there may be other options. However I suspect that anything larger than the 8 lug pickup pattern and not already the full size 10 lug semi truck pattern is a no go.
One decent option is Dayton wheels/hubs will accept super singles and tubeless rims without any adapting, so long as the likely larger tires/wheels fit the rest of the truck.

Thanks again Sir.

There must be 3 of you to get all your work/projects/and answering
threads..

Got it home and steam pressure washed it. It must have been driven down a newly asfault'd(?) road with all the build up under there.
At least it's not rusted under the tar n gravel..

I don't mean to be.. well, mean. But, I REALLY LIKE PICTURES!!
When someone says "yup, it'a P30 axle" or whatever, That doesn't make ANY SENSE to me. So, when I pull off my front rims for measurements, I'll take plenty of pics so others can chime in as to what's what..

that's what I want for my one ton also. it's a flatbed, so no fitment issues there. cost is my only problem (those rims/tires are pricy for a work truck). adapters should be fine, I've use many of them and if done properly, few if any issues.

When 1.5 to 3 ton trucks first started using tubeless tires, in the mid '50's, wheels were made in 22.5" size in several bolt patterns, 5 on 8, 6 on 8, 10 on 7.25, etc. Since we don't know what truck you have, we could guess you might have one of these bolt pattterns, 22.5" tires replace 20" tires, look correct for these size trucks, these wheels are sometimes hard to find, come mostly on farm trucks. Keep your eyes open.

On "Youtube,check out "Mater",a '47 Diamond T 2-ton cab and clip. It's mounted on a '93 Cummins-powered 4X4 (Derdge)chassis. They used the stock Dodge 8-bolt 3/4 ton hubs,16" tires,(stock),and made adapters for the "Super-Singles" (10-bolt Alcoa 22.5's)! Maybe by contacting Mr.Darnell,via www.welderup.com/"youtube",he could fab. a set. Hope this helps.

THANKS GUYS!!

I'll try and do more research for the conversions.

OH, Sorry.. It's a '64 Chevy C-50 stake truck that I picked up to use as a rolling advertisement for a business that I'm getting into.
