Hi All,
Can you tell how many teeth a flywheel has with the bell housing on? Are they marked somehow?

I just picked up a 1957 235 for my 1952. It had been used in a 1954 with the 54 bell housing and trans, but a 12 volt solenoid starter.

I would paint a tooth or find a marker on the flywheel itself.

I can explain it to you, I can't understand it for you.

Yeah, I would do that and just count them off 10 at a time while rotating and marking it. It may not be original to the 235.

OK, sounds like tooth counting is the way. Was just wondering if there might be a casting number or something.

this was a running 235 setup in a 1954 with a 4spd trans. I am hoping to just drop the whole thing into my 52.

139 teeth = 6v

168 teeth = 12v
