I am looking for the formula to crack the code! Can someone share a reference to a "cheat sheet"? I am looking hard at a 1941 Chevy 1/2 ton p.u.

Also, were there different trim lines available in the Art Deco trucks? Example, my '48 A.D. is a 5-window "deluxe".

Thanks!

LUKE

This is helpful...1AK03 4658...translates to Flint, 1941 1/2 ton, March, production #3657.

I did not find any info. as to whether or not there were any special trim packages offered in 1941.

WOW--now that is pretty spartan trim package!

I thought that a radio and heater were available accessories. Is that correct? How about other available accessories?

I am out of my "time-zone" with a 1941 truck. No radio is listed in the TDB, and no accessories are listed in the TDB.

However, Jim Carter does sell an Accessory List.

Here is 1946 (and maybe earlier) accessory information from Sheridan's 41-46 web site.

very unlikely there was any "trim packages" available from the factory, but various accessories would have been available from the dealer, as shown at Sheridans site

Jim Carter truck parts states that there were no "trim" packages available--just the various accessories.

Most of the 41 1/2 tons came with a chrome grill unless you ordered it with the painted one. The exterior trim consisted of parking light caps and door handles which were chrome as were the bumpers. That pretty much covers the exterior trim package.

But you could get a different color beltline, as well as the striping on the belt line.
