I'm using Restoration Shop Acrylic Enamel, and I'm using a Devilbiss starting line HVLP with a 1.3 tip, also tried a 1.8. I've never had this happen before, and the epoxy primer laid down really nice. I've tried adjusting the air pressure, reducing it, and changing tip sizes, but can't get rid of this problem. the proper solvent for the temperature you're spraying at.
Had to really watch it when I was spraying dope (butyrate
lacquer) on fabric aircraft skins.

They are very small pock marks about the size of a needle point and much smaller than fish eyes. I attribute them to the fact I was impatient and didn't wait long enough time between coats of paint and also tried to lay down too heavy a coat. Then I wiped it down with acetone, then sprayed the color.
