The Stovebolt Site Forums The Parking Lot Panels 'N Burbs '54 Panel running board brackets

I see by searching some old threads that the running boards are thought to be the same between the pickups and the panels. How about the brackets?
My wife just drug home a '54 Panel truck last night. The running boards were in the back, but the brackets have been cut off the frame and a trim piece fabricated to fill the gap. We want to put the boards back on if possible.

Yes the brackets are the same for the 1/2 short bed/suburban/panel/canopy express. The only difference in the running boards is the two bolt holes used on the pickup bed skirt are plugged when using them on the panel....g

Gotcha, thanks. I've had 2 different '54 1/2t pickups in the past, but this is my first panel.
Crawled under the truck to take a look. Someone hacksawed off the brackets(all 6 of 'em)evenly, right at what would have been the inside edge of the boards then fabricated some trim to sort of fill the gap between the front and rear fenders and hide the ends of the brackets. Never mind what I think of him.
