I have installed new CPP spindles on my 65 c10. Should I paint the spindles & shields? If so, what is the best way to clean the oil residue off spindles?

Thanks
Tim

Brake cleaner or bore scrubber (gun cleaning spray) is a good start. Then finish up with dish washing soap and water, then rinse with hot water. You know its clean when water stops beading up on it.
